Detailed Info: Kaas Pathar is nestled in Sahaydri (Western Ghats), 25 kms away from Satara, Maharashtra (Western Ghats ). It is located between 1200 - 1400 meters / altitude app 1000m AMSL and is surrounded by hillside coming alive with millions of colorful flowers. Kaas pathar throughout the year is barren due to the porous laterite rock, but rains come and the plateau is covered in a multitude of flowers, which last till September end. Kaas pathar overlooks the lush evergreen forests that serve as a water catchment area of Koyna Dam, Chandoli National Park and Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary was recently declared as "Sahyadri Tiger reserve". With abundant rainfall, bright mountain sunshine and a high dew point, the lateritic table lands and gentle slopes of Kaas transform into riotous colored flower fields.This plateau is famous for its unique biosphere, high hill plateaus and grasslands. Kaas boost not only flowers like pink balsam, yellow sonki, purple karvi etc but also welcomes birds like Crested Buntings, Malabar Crested Larks, Oriental White-eyes, Bonelli’s Eagle. Alibag is a coastal town & the king of the beaches in Maharashtra with fresh air, clean waters and sand. The place is blessed with lots of beaches, forts and islands. Located on the western coast of India, Alibag is an idyllic town also known as the Konkan region.The place is known for its local fish delicacies, palatial sea forts and sun-kissed beaches.  Some of the major attractions of Alibag include Khanderi Fort, Kolaba Fort, Undheri Fort, Alibag Beach, Nagaon Beach, Versoli Beach, etc. Rameshwar Mandir is a temple located in Revdanda, Maharashtra, India. It is a very ancient temple of Lord Shiva. The Chaul region is known for its temples. There are 365 temples in Chaul, equal to the number of days in a year. The date of construction is not known, but the temple has been renovated several times. In the front there is a large pond known as pokharan in Marathi. The Mandir has three tanks (called kund in Marathi): parjanya kund, agni kund, and wayu kund, representing three elements of nature—Rain , fire, and air. The structure comprises of prayer hall (sabhamandap), sanctum sanctorum and 7.62 meter high summit shaped dome. In front of the prayer hall, there are three tanks (kund) namely Parjanya Kund, Agni kund and Vayoo kund. Birla Mandir was built by the Birla Group as part of its Vikram Ispat Factory Complex. 20 Kms from Alibaug on the Alibaug - Roha route near Salav village is the beautiful Birla Mandir. Built atop a hillock Birla mandir has Ganesha as the main diety. The idol of Ganesha is placed on a marble nave which is intricately carved. The idols of Riddhi and Siddhi are placed on either sides of the Ganesha idol. There are small temples of Radha-Krishna Shiv-Parvati and Suryadeva also in the Birla mandir. Every evening, after the sun sets, lights are turned on, and the aarti is performed. As it gets dark, the sight of the translucent marble reflecting the light is a wonderful sight. Nagaon Beach: Located around 7 km away from Alibag, Nagaon beach is a beautiful beach that attract visitors by its breathtaking views and soothing ambience. read more read less
