Overview

Siddhagad fort Murbad is a nice fort located near Murbad in Thane District. Narivali is the base village to reach this fort. It is among the best forts to trek in Maharashtra and is a part of Bhimashankar wildlife sanctuary range. This is an old hill fort built by Shilahaar dynasty in the 9th century.  The Central top of this fort is quite hard to climb. You can spot the tomb of freedom fighter and martyr Bhai Kotwal at the south base of the fort.

Meeting Point:
@ Kalyan ST Depo by 6.45 am
Train Timings: Asangaon Slow Local (AN)
CST: 5.14 am    Byculla: 5.22 am    Dadar: 5.32 am
Sion: 5.38 am    Ghatkopar: 5.49 am    Bhandup: 6.00 am
Mulund: 6.06 am    Thane: 6.10 am      Mumbra: 6.20 am
Dombivali: 6.32 am    Kalyan: 6.41 am.
 
Tentative Schedule:
06.50 am: Will meet near ST Stand and leave for base village.
08.40 am: Will reach to borwadi and have breakfast.
09.00 am: With an intro round will move to Siddhgad Machi.
10.30 am: Reach to siddhgadwadi.
12.00 pm: Will reach on top and explore surrounding.
01.15 pm: Back to cave and have self Lunch & rest.
03.50 pm: Move towards Kalyan.
05.25 pm: Tentatively reach to Kalyan.
 
Here is a list of all the things that we need to carry for the trek:
 
Compulsory items: Rains showers are expected, so pack your bags accordingly.
A proper two sided haversack to put all the things, So that one has hands free while trekking, id proof, approx 3 ltr water, Sunday Lunch, Torch with extra batteries, some snacks, Should wear good trekking shoes, full sleeve shirt/T-shirt & Full Pant, carry some extra cloths.
 
If you have any medical issue please carry your own medicine as we carry only First aid.
 
Non-compulsory items but helpful:
Cap, Sunglasses, Woolen Jacket, Camera , Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry  mosquito’s repellent, Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution.
